Today is Wednesday! Mid-week, hump day, and we're going to take a small identity break today to take a look at some of our accomplishments and prepare ourselves to share those at parents at parent teacher conferences. There will be a self reflection to fill out today. Then, we are going to look through some of our classwork and find two artifacts to show our parents. We might want to think about one thing we have done really well at; a great accomplishment. And then, remembering that we are always learning and growing, we might want to think about picking one thing that we have improved on. Even if it isn't our best work, what is one thing we showed great growth with? We're going to gather it all together, and then I will collect it so we can assemble our portfolios later.

Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday! We've been talking for a few days about what an identity is. The definition that so many of the classes gave was that your identity has to do with your personality. But is that the only part of who we are? Are our identities defined by more than that? Today we are going to read "Your Body is Your ID." This is a nonfiction piece about how the physical characteristics of your body also help make up your identity. Each of us in individually unique on the inside, but what about on the outside? Do our physical characteristics make up our identity as well? Do we need to alter our class definition?
