Happy short-day Thursday, everyone! We have library checkout today. During periods 1, 3, or 7 we will be going to the library to check out, renew, or read. Be sure to bring your book with you to class. You will not be allowed to go back to your locker to get anything for the library. Be sure you are bring something to read with you if you don't need to check out. When we are not in the library, we will be talking about SEE paragraphs again, and improving our writing. Last week we talked about statements. Statements start our paragraph off, they let us know what we are going to be writing about/what our audience is reading about. They are short, concise and to the point. Today, we are going to discuss evidence. Once you have made your claim, you have to back it up. No one cares what you think, they care why you think it.So, we will talk about how to organize our evidence to make sure that our statements have meaning. Bring your thinking caps, my friends! We are going to do some fun writing today!
