Happy short-day Thursday, everyone! We will (finally) have library check out this week for real! Please remember to bring your books with you to class. If you do not need to check out or renew, you are sitting quietly and reading your book. There are 10 school days until your Independent Reading projects are due (15 days total). Be sure you are using your time wisely! We will also be talking about the final step of our SEE paragraphs today: Explanation. This is the part that most students miss when they are writing, but ultimately the most important part. This is the part of the paragraph that connects your statement (idea) to your evidence. This tells me exactly why something is important. How does the evidence connect to your thought? How does it prove your idea? We are going to practice putting this entire thing together so we are master writers! iReady conferences will be happening soon. You may have started them in math already, but we will be meeting to go over your scores and set some goals. This is very important, and all your teachers ask that you take this seriously. We all want you to do well, and we really want you to think about what you can do to make yourself better too! Reminders:
