Hey you guys! It's Wednesday already! Woo Hoo! So, today, we are going to use our new-found knowledge of writing great essential questions to tear through our Hoot chapter today! We are starting with Chapter 4 (or 5) and we are going to apply that new skill to the rest of these chapters. Remember, essential questions start with "how" or "why." You can always write a "what" or "who" questions, but then follow up with a critical thinking question about how that relates to the characters as a whole, the story as a whole, or the setting of the story. We are cruising right through this book! Then, it's time to start brain storming. What kind of project are we going to do at the end of this book to demonstrate something we've learned? How can the project we come up with affect change in our own community? We are going to brainstorm all different ideas we can come up with on how we can best represent our learning with this unit. You and your group members are coming up with this, not me. You are all smart cookies, and I know you have something amazing you can show me. Be creative! Have fun with it! Do you have any hidden talents or ideas you want to share? Now's your chance! Use this project to help you display your learning, and your abilities!
